The steelhead in the John Day River will have less cow shit to deal to dodge. Looks like the ranchers won't get anymore free (or should I say hay on our dime) grass. Now, if I could absolutely understand the difference between a Steehhead, a Rainbow Trout, & salmon. I mean, I know of & what the difference salmon species are, but I don't understand that some consider the Steelhead to be a salmon since it moves out into salt water before returning home to spawn. & like the Atlantic Salmon, the Steelhead doesn't die after spawning. Anyway, I'm happy about this, although I'm sure I will never actually fish that river.
