Bennett H. Crosby, age 91, died on Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, at Sterling House in Sun Prairie. He was born on July 21, 1919 in Rhinelander, the son of Harold S. and Helen (Lewis) Crosby. Bennett graduated from Madison Central High School. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Madison.

Father George Votruba, 81, of Rice Lake died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011 at Our House Assisted Living. He was born April 18, 1929, in Haugen, to George and Martha (Hruska) Votruba.
I hope for the sake of the newly betrothed that this is not a harbinger of the future, at least not the immediate future.
